MOON STREAM Moon Stream is the new musical unit combining the forces of Japanese visual style rock with the sounds of the New York underground. Created in early 2011, Moon Stream is fronted by Satsuki (vocals) and Tomo (guitar), two veterans of the early visual kei explosion in Japan who are now active on opposite ends of the globe. The inception of Moon Stream drives Satsuki's outreach to the world outside Japan, the joint effort with Tomo to shake up the rock scene with the ultimate collaboration of Japanese aesthetics with American flavor. Displaying their visual and musical talents from signature rock sounds, ambient compositions, to dance rock music, the band's recent US debut launched Moon Stream into the sky. MEMBER INFO As ex-vocalist of popular visual kei rock band RENTRER EN SOI (Free-Will Records), Satsuki launched his solo career on Feb 14, 2009 in order to pierce his own musical aesthetics and create a new world of music. In addition to regularly headlining visual kei concert events in Japan, Satsuki has also performed in theater and film and is steadily expanding his range of activities to include involvement in video games such as Amnesia (Otomate). Having performed in America for events since 2009 as part of his solo career, Satsuki is always drawn to creating new musical experiences. Satsuki's Official website
Tomo Asaha began his musical career at the top of the visual kei music scene in Osaka, Japan, playing guitar for bands such as Voyage and NIL. After joining Unknown Frequency, an electronic rock band signed to GIZA Music, Tomo also began playing with artists such as Rina Aiuchi (GIZA), Zoey (Nippon Columbia) and Chocolate syrup. Unknown Frequency soon became what is now echostream, Tomo's current band based in New York. Tomo's musical career expands beyond echostream to the new phenomenon project Alias, TV appearances with pop singer Shahidah Omar, and to the massive visual kei artist collaboration high-ball, created by ex-12012 guitarist Yusuke Suga.
